Institutional FAQ

Questions, answered.

The mandate, the governance, the engineering, and the money, answered directly.

01 What is the primary mandate of the Restore Ghana Project (RGP)? +

The project is an industrial environmental remediation initiative focused on dredging and restoring major river bodies heavily polluted by illegal mining operations.

02 Who is executing and governing this project? +

It is managed by a corporate Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), DIHOC DENZEL GHANA LIMITED, which is a joint venture between the Defence Industries Holding Company (DIHOC) Limited and Denzel Logistics Limited.

03 What are the main engineering objectives? +

Our operations extract built‑up silt to restore natural river depth, stabilize banks to prevent erosion, improve raw water quality, and mitigate regional flood risks.

04 What is the financial scale of the project? +

The launch requires a projected capital expenditure of $200 million. This is funded through private equity, international environmental funds, grants, and commercial revenue from managed sand extraction and utility services.

05 How does the project mitigate long‑term civil risks? +

By restoring river flow and depth, the project lowers state disaster management costs, protects infrastructure from flooding, and secures public water supply continuity.

06 How is regulatory compliance managed? +

All operations require certified Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) from the EPA. On the ground, project monitoring is institutionalized alongside local Municipal Assemblies (MMDAs) and traditional chiefs.
